Kin Kitchen is a community food project that works across Glasgow, predominantly in the southside of the city, to address systemic food injustice, social isolation and sustainable food practices. In the 12 month period that this report covers we carried out the following in the community (everything is free unless otherwise stated):
- Hosted 4 Community Meals at Kinning Park Complex for around 40 participants per meal, as well as offering well being activities such massage, apple pressing, and foraging walks (starting Nov ‘25) (ran a further 7 in 26/27 tax year)
- Hosted 6 community meals with the Citizens Theatre Community Collective (April - July‘25 / Jan - March ‘26)
- Hosted 3 paid for foraging walks (April ‘25) and 1 free walk with Maslows’ community
- Finished a long term project with local residents of Kingarth Lane in Govanhill working with them to transform the lane into a community asset. This includes 4 resident meetings, 2 events (May & Sep ‘25) in the lane, a day of building planters with Glasgow Trades Collective (May ‘25)
- Cooked and hosted meals at the South East Integration Network community gathering
(Sep ‘25), did a full day of meals and food based land skills at A Land Moot (Oct‘25), and a community fundraiser at the Bowling Green in July ‘25.
- Hosted a mutual aid and food sovereignty day in partnership with Glasgow Zine Library, Govanhill Food not Bombs, Glasgow Autonomous Space, Agnew Lane and Pollokshields Food Point.
- Held 11 volunteer meals where we discuss and plan the project & 11 board meetings
- Held a board strategy day

We estimate about 1000-1500 beneficiaries of our activities during this time period
PART 2 – CONSULTATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS
A “stakeholder” is any person or organisation affected by the company’s activities.
Please indicate who the company’s stakeholders are:
In April 2025 we held a board development day where we planned the next year of the
project. This was inputted by 5 board directors.
Every month the project's volunteers make decisions and plans about all the operational elements related to the project, and various individuals take responsibility for enacting parts of projects and events. The volunteer team is made up of people from across the community and everyone has an equal say in the work Kin Kitchen does. We also hosted a volunteer strategy day in March 25 so that the volunteer team could input more into the strategic planning of the organisation.
We have ongoing evaluation for each project/event we run, as well as a general feedback form.
Please indicate how the stakeholders have been consulted [or leave blank if there has been no consultation]:
